 "Vala" comes from the Davison's of IL. She encompasses three of the oldest Canaan Dog lines in the United States: Gray Mesa, Ha'Aretz & Pleasant Hill. We welcome her pedigree for future breedings. And for those of you who follow "Stargate SG-1" will recognize "Vala" as the colorful character that latched onto Dr. Daniel Jackson - this girl has the same personality.

"Vala's" show career has been marked with much success.  Her second weekend out as a 6 month old found her as Winner's Bitch at the 2006 CDCA National Specialty.  She went on to garner Reserve Winners Bitch and another Winner's Bitch the following 2 days of supported entries.  Since her move to Australia she has taken Best of Breed numerous times and has been awarded Best Junior in Group.  She is the first female to garner the title of Australian Champion.

"Vala" is one of those special Canaan Dogs that have the "it" factor.  The "look at me" attitude and outgoing personality.  She has done well in Australia to show outstanding temperament, proper proportions and correct movement.  We look forward to her American show career to continue upon our return in early 2008.

"Vala" has just whelped her first litter - 4 females and 1 male, born March 6, 2008.
